Located 1.5km from Gupkashi on Jakhdhar Bansu Road, Uttarakhand, we are a recommended acclimatization stop for pilgrims en route to Kedarnath before proceeding to Sonprayag.

Staying in Gupkashi allows your body to adjust to the higher altitude, which is important for a safe and comfortable trek. It also ensures you can get an early start to Sonprayag the next morning, avoiding last-minute crowds and traffic restrictions.

Gupkashi is about 20-25 km from Sonprayag, which is where the motorable road ends and the trek to Kedarnath begins. From Sonprayag, you will take a shared jeep to Gaurikund, the actual trek starting point.


The Kedarnath temple is open to pilgrims from April/April (Vaisakhi) to October/November (Kartik Purnima). The months of May-June and September-October are considered ideal due to pleasant weather.
